The IPN-LAB presents: the IPN “Dragon’s Den” event, in which three Italian start-up companies recently set up in the Netherlands will be introduced by their respective founders. In streaming on ItalianRadio service.
A Dutch-Italian pool of experts will evaluate the proposals and also provide advice on how to reach the desired objectives in the most enlightened Dutch business environment.
What is Dragons’ Den?
Dragons’ Den is a television format featuring entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas in order to secure investment finance from a panel of venture capitalists. The programme originated in Japan as Money Tigers or Tigers of Money. Local versions of the format have been created in nearly 30 countries.
How does it work?
During our IPN event, each speaker will introduce his or her venture to a pool of experts and a selected audience. After explaining what the start-up offers, what problems it solves for (potential) customers and what its development potential is, he or she will be confronted with the pool of experts who will evaluate the founder’s hypotheses and proposal, as well as provide advice or network contacts to achieve the goals set.
The event’s aim is to reinforce the network between new Italian entrepreneurs living in the Netherlands and to boost the ideas of talented, creative and innovative Italians, not only in the 3F sectors but also in the most competitive Fintech or Healthcare sectors.
Why?
IPN organizes this event for multiple reasons. Firstly, to enable Italian start-ups in the Netherlands looking for investors and visibility to get in contact with relevant stakeholders. Secondly, to strengthen the link between entrepreneurs and Italian ‘starters in the Netherlands’ – such a network could serve as the foundation for possible opportunities for Italian talents to leverage on their creativity and technical expertise to innovate. Lastly, to enforce IPN’s objective to promote Italian professionals in the Netherlands.
